Moving trucks are encouraged to use the Nectarine Street freight door and a reserved elevator. Plan that with building management before move day so moving takes one elevator and the non-freight elevator is available for other residents.
Book with building management first
Contact building managementbefore you book the truck. Don’t assume same-day Independent Service.
Ask for a move window so the rest of the building keeps a passenger car.
Owners arrange the key through building management. Renters: landlord first, then the owner talks to management.
The Independent Service / freight key holds the car, stops hallway buttons from calling it, and opens the exterior door on Nectarine Street.
Return the key when you’re done. A car left on Independent Service strands everyone else.
Load from Nectarine Street
Use the exterior freight door on Nectarine — not the Broad Street lobby.
Don’t leave the truck or stacked boxes blocking the freight door, dumpster, or recycling bins.
Trades on the rehab use that same door. Leave them a path.
In the building
Don’t force or hold elevator doors by hand. That damages the sensors.
